I nurtured my quiet moments. I spent a majority of my free time inside coffee shops. I published marandataylor.com. I increased my ink. I got to chose this man again and again and have become better for it. This guy, also, played in a music video and was a super cute rockstar. I went to the debut of Steffany Gretzinger’s new album. I laughed with my ladies. I got into my first car accident. I led and created a woman’s writing group. I got my sleepy sidekick. Me & this dude launched our youtube channel. Got even more ink. Hiked in California with a friend from home. Was inspired by normal people doing everyday life, bravely. Had the country concert of my dreams. Taylor Swift blew my mind. My sweet nephew made his appearance. I fell in love with the pattern of Cincy. The little sister and I wrecked havoc in NorCal. I lost my job. I transferred to Humboldt State University. I took my favorite selfie ever. I embraced the magic of the moonlight. I explored a corner of Oregon. I moved into my cottage by the ocean. I discovered more of California. I survived the fire. I found comfort in the halls to my classrooms. I ended the year surrounded by family and my longest friends. And I blossomed a bit more.
Thank you to my family for never giving up on me. Thank you for my California friends for loving me beyond convenience. Thank you, home, for the countless hours on the phone. Thank you, California, for shinning your sun upon my darkest nights.
2018 taught me love,
2018 taught my patience,
& how to handle pain.
It turned out amazing.
And for that I'll say
Thank u, Next.
Ready for this next year!
